Attorney Frederick M. Misilo, Jr, Chair of the Trust and Estate Department of Fletcher Tilton PC., has been elected President and Chair of the Board of Directors of The Arc of the United States, Inc. based in Washington, D.C. The Arc is the nation’s largest and oldest community-based civil rights organization dedicated to improving the lives of individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities and their families. It has more than 650 chapters, more than 100,000 employees and serves more than 1,000,000 individuals across the country.
“The Arc is thrilled to have Fred lead The Arc over the next two years. The organization and the people we serve will benefit tremendously from the knowledge and professional expertise he has on issues that are of vital concern to people with disabilities and their families,” stated Peter V. Berns, Chief Executive Officer of The Arc.
Misilo is the Immediate Past Chair of The Arc’s Policy and Positions Committee and has been a longstanding member of its Legal Advocacy Committee. He is also a past President of The Arc of Massachusetts. Misilo is also currently the Chair of the Board of Directors of Fallon Community Health Plan, Inc.
